Inappropriate?General muscle aches and headaches are typical symptoms of severe colds and the flu. It is not known exactly how these infections cause the aches since cold and influenza tend to inhabit the respiratory system. Body aches are thought to be the result of a toxin released by infected cells which then circulate throughout the body.
